Dow 2012 Annual Report and Databook
The purpose of the design for this annual was to display the company’s renewed focus on its goals and accomplishments with a streamlined approach. As the junior designer on the project, I was excited to have the client select my concept design for the cover and have it change very little from concept to print. The minimal cover uses the 4 representative pillars to create an energetic diamond, showing in a simplified way Dow’s strength and capabilities are moving forward. The use of white space and pillars throughout the book demonstrates the streamlined look that was important to create for the client. I worked in collaboration with the art and creative directors, copywriters, and the client from concept to finish producing this piece.
The Databook, Building on our Strengths, continued the streamlined theme but emphasized how the company was achieving its goals through a more detailed look at the company. The cover displayed the markets where they were focusing on growth and moving forward in those areas. My role included working in collaboration with the creative director, copywriters, clients, and printer to produce this piece from concept to finish. 
The 2012 Databook received a 2014 PRSA Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation.
Dow 2013 Annual Report, Maximizing Value
Created to dive deeper into how the company is maximizing its growth in specific high-value markets it was essential that the content and design emphasize these markets. The “ribbons” design on the cover and on the interior pages demonstrates how the company is intersecting its sciences to maximize its value by the twisting, folding, and highlighting of content. As the lead designer on the project, I was responsible for building and maintaining the document from the concept stages to the printing press checks. I worked with a team of designers, copywriters, a creative director, and the client to develop the annual to achieve their communication goals.
This annual report was awarded the LACP Vision Bronze Award for TDCC 2013 Annual Report.
